Our team are key to the success of our business. From planning to handover they are present through every phase of the project, ensuring that high quality policies are adhered to by team members and contractors. Every part of a build has to be right because it’s got our name on it.
Quality
With almost 50 years in the industry, we know the importance of quality in building and have developed a consistent and successful approach to achieving high standards of construction quality on projects, handed over defect free.
Through working closely with the client we seek to achieve the quality specified to the satisfaction of the end users and the design team, hence reducing the lifecycle costs of a project.
Our Quality Management System (QMS) is registered and approved to the international standard EN ISO 9001.
Health & Safety
The prevention of injury and ill-health, and maintaining an entrenched safety culture leading to real performance improvements are key elements of our approach to managing safety.
Caring for the safety, health and well-being of our employees and everyone affected by our activities is of vital importance to us.
Health and Safety forms a fundamental part of our integrated management system ensuring we incorporate it in to all our business activities. Our H&S management system has been developed in accordance with OHSAS 18001.
Environmental Sustainability
MJ McBride has entrenched sustainability within all aspects of its business, striving to have a positive impact environmentally, socially and economically.
Through implementing our Accredited ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certification we are totally committed to sustainable construction, and recognise the importance of continuous improvement and working in partnership with both clients and suppliers on sustainability issues.
The company have implemented measures which have resulted in significant improvements in environmental performance. These include energy efficiency, following the waste hierarchy, reducing landfill tonnage, using materials from sustainable sources, using environmentally friendly materials and minimising dust, noise and air pollution. The company also encourages sustainable design where possible and constructs housing with a high level of efficiency in accordance with the Code for Sustainable Homes.
Communication
All of our projects are registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme.
The Scheme aims to improve the negative impacts of construction on the environment and neighbours through enhanced communication and prevention methods.
